PeakForce TUNA

PeakForce TUNATM provides high sensitivity nanoelectrical imaging while simultaneously providing correlated nanomechanical property information. PeakForce TUNA is able to do this through a combination of the PeakForce Tapping technique and a high bandwidth, low noise current amplifier. Other benefits include dramatically improved ease of use through the ScanAsyst™ imaging mode and the highest resolution quantitative nanomechanical property mapping with PeakForce QNM™ imaging mode.

PeakForce TUNA controls the tip-sample force and thus solves the problem that arises from using C-AFM to measure nanoelectrical properties.

By operating far from cantilever resonance, PeakForce TUNA avoids the limitations of TappingMode C-AFM.

PeakForce TUNA leverages the advantages of PeakForce Tapping:

• Direct force control, eliminating artifacts that result from tip and sample damage
• Self-optimization using ScanAsyst
• Spatially correlated nanomechanical information with PeakForce QNM
